The Aegic city of Salia, the last of the old Imperial cities of the Ventus Highlands still loyal to the throne in Kreen, has fended off attacks by various Border Princes for decades. Now, a threat grows inside the walls. People have been disappearing – particularly people of Tarsi descent. Mists cover the east part of the city at night, and strange flames appear and vanish without trace. Who, or what, is behind these phenomena?
The Elven fortress city of Mitheen has not heard back from several caravans to Tabarach on the southern shores of the Sea of Storms. Regardless, there is money to be made and rose gold to be bought, and a convoy of allied traders will brave the wastes once more. Some suspect that Desert Elves are behind the attacks, but a guide from among the natives would make the travel much easier.
